TURNING DAFFODILS INTO NEEDLEWORK
Every Spring these beautiful flowers evoke the start of this season.
Drawing them out is not very hard...how pretty the two or three shades of yellow and gold, like sunshine greeting the day.
Blowing in the wind like a graceful woman on a dance floor...Oh!! Dancing with the Stars is on tonight... or
picked in a bouquet.
Doing a quick sketch of the flowers I put a little watercolor wash on it.
Fast, to capture the freshness of the yellows and greens.
Now I will graph this design for counted cross stitch or paint it on 18 mesh needlepoint canvas or
clean up the drawing for redwork or redwork with color.
The ideas are endless.
